This is a child welfare centre housed at the Love Botswana Mission property. The Centre is an emergency rescue facility for orphans and vulnerable children between the ages of 0 – 5 years, and children with disabilities from 0 – 10 years. Lorato House Rescue Centre was officially opened in 2010 and the building in 2012. The House has been set up in the form of a normal home with a living, dining, laundry, and bedroom, as well as a staffroom and kitchen. The House Mother lives on the Lorato House property, ensuring that the children have 24-hour care and protection; the caregivers change shifts to ensure that the children have all day care. During their stay at the House, the children are fed wholesome meals, taken to the hospital for their monthly weighing and immunisation, and educated.
